I made it!

I didn't know if I would, but I made it. And considering I saw this week's episode of the O.C. last week, I don't know why I was rushing like a madman, but that's another story.
I work until 3:30 p.m. I had an appointment at 3:345 ran over and worked out. Finished at about 10 to 5. But I left my cell phone at work and had to run back for it. Went back got it (thankfully the building was open. It isn't always after 4 p.m.) and then I had to go pick up meats. Well, it's a mad house at the supermarket... but once I came home... found my cousin/nephew crying in the courtyard and didn't see his mother so I intervened. (She was ignoring him as it turns out, because he was being a brat. But no one else knew that.) Ran up the stairs, called to find out if I had Jury Duty tomorrow... I do... Had to make a bunch of phone calls to let people know. I confirmed it with work. Let my grandmother know her food was going to come late, since I wasn't going to be in her neighborhood in the a.m. and had to get on the e-mail to let my volunteer know that I was going to be out. Tired yet? I was/am. Then I had to face the housework. The two sinks which overflowed with dishes. I didn't have time to do it all week. Put up a chicken soup and cleaned and seasoned chicken. Water is boiling for supper. (Spagheetti, I'm too tired to be more imaginative, but don't worry Rommie, I won't crack the spaghetti in half though I probably will just spill over some Ragu.)
It's 7:40 p.m. and I will be able to sit down to watch the O.C.
And this new system for Jury Duty sucks. I got barely three weeks of notice. I wasn't sure if I was going to go or not. I have a ton to do at work and well, going out is not the best thing. OTOH, now that I know I'm going, I'm looking forward to just sitting, because well, I haven't done that in a while. Okay, the O.C. is on soon... will put feet up and relax!
