(no subject)

I know I shouldn’t let the snow get to me. But I spent twenty minutes trying to get my car out this morning, because the damn plows came again and plowed me in. I finally gave up and found my mother’s car (who has not stepped out of the house since Saturday…) and just took that. And guess what, we’re in for more snow.

By the time I got to work, I was in such a state. I hadn’t had my coffee, and Lex Luthor was already starting in on people. I was so frustrated that I forgot to be happy about my new niece. (Actually coniece as her sister has dubbed me their coaunt – a contraction of cousin and aunt, because I’m more than a cousin and technically not an aunt.) And by the end of the day, I was just so tense. My personal trainer noticed right away and we she really worked me out so that I’d get rid of the tension. It worked. And even though I had to dig out my car once I got home, I didn’t tense up all over again. I just let it roll (like Teflon all my back) and if it wasn’t going to snow again tomorrow (when I have to take my mom into the City for a doctor’s appointment) I’d be a lot calmer.

Oh and to my Canadian Flisters... is it true that you have machines up there in the civilized North East that come around and melt the snow so that you get rid of it?
